About Dr Ken McGrath

Ken McGrath is the Technology Liaison Manager at Microba in Brisbane, Australia. He obtained his PhD studying Molecular Pathology in 2005 from the University of Queensland, and has a research background in microbial community genomics, including human and environmental microbiomes and metagenomics analysis.

Ken has been a part of several international microbiome research projects, including the ABRF Metagenomics Research Group in the USA, and the use of metagenomics to study extreme microbial communities around the globe with the eXtreme Microbiome Project (XMP).

Ken is helping health care practitioners across Australia to educate and inform them of Microba’s technology and how the results can benefit their patients.
